Though Kevin Gates was released from prison at the beginning the year, nearly half way through, he has still not been home. The Louisiana rapper’s wife, Dreka Gates, hit social media to give his fans an update and apologize for him missing upcoming shows.
“The Illinois Department Corrections has prevented Kevin from leaving the state Illinois,” she said. “He isn’t even allowed to come home to California where we live. Since he was released in January, he has not been able to come home not one time.”
