Jesse Williams Tweets Pure Flames About Alton Sterling Shooting

Jesse Williams has, seemingly overnight, become one of the most important celebrity voices in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Following news of Alton Sterling‘s death at the hands of police in Baton Rouge, the actor and activist took to Twitter to put those justifying the actions of the cops in their place as only he can:

1) In the interest of time, would ye noble patriots please provide a list of infractions punishable by spontaneous public execution? Thanks!

— jesseWilliams. (@iJesseWilliams) July 6, 2016

2) Upon receipt of this list, we'll return to our quarters and study up, eager to enjoy freedoms of white mass murders. #LIFEHACK

— jesseWilliams. (@iJesseWilliams) July 6, 2016

3) You chumps will NEVER provide this list… We see through you.

If the tweets look familiar, it’s because they’re the same ones he frequently posts when a Black person dies as a result of police brutality.

Unsurprisingly, his mentions are flooded with hateful responses, but Williams remains unafraid. It is becoming clear that Williams’ speech at the BET Awards was not just lip service. He is willing to put his reputation, and perhaps even his own safety, on the line to make sure we all #StayWoke.
