Iggy Azalea Previews Quavo-Assisted Single ‘Savior’

Iggy Azalea is looking for a “Savior.” Just days before releasing the lead single f Surviving the Summer, the Australian rapper drops a snippet her Quavo collaboration.

Over an island-themed instrumental, Iggy and Quavo go back and forth with an ode to romance. “Wonder if you even notice,” sings Azalea. “Lately I’ve been feeling hopeless / Easy to lose focus / But I’ll wait for ya, I’ll wait for ya.”

Equipped with Auto-Tune, Quavo adds his infectious flavor to the dance-ready single. “I’ve been looking for a savior,” he sings. “I’ve been looking for a savior.”

“Savior” initially leaked in December 2016. It featured a guest appearance from Verse Simmonds, who reportedly produced the track. However, it has since been revamped to include Quavo and an updated instrumental.

Iggy, who recently called out the Recording Academy president over his “step up” comments, is set to release a lyric video for the song on Friday (Feb. 2) with an ficial visual dropping soon after that. She is also slated to star in a Super Bowl commercial for Monster Products, which airs Sunday (Feb. 4).
