H.E.R. and Rihanna are up to something.
Almost a year ago, the pop megastar posted a video herself, vibing out to H.E.R.’s “Focus” single. Now, they’re apparently working on some “secret projects” together.
H.E.R. revealed the exciting news during an interview with Malcolm Music ( HipHop-N-More). “We’ve got some secret projects coming up,” she said. When the interviewer mentioned “collabs,” H.E.R. smiled. “Something like that,” she added.
This is major news for H.E.R. She’s such a big Rihanna fan, in fact, that she jumped with joy after RiRi posted her music on Instagram. “That was insane,” she said. “I was jumping up and down and I never do that. I was super excited.”
Formerly known as Gabi Wilson, the singer went on to talk about her new name. “I wanted people to focus on the music and the message,” she explained. “The music needed to speak for itself.” She then listed Sia as an inspiration for her mystique.
H.E.R. has also been busy with her own material. She just dropped the video for “Focus” and recently, she performed the song on BBC Radio 1Xtra along with a cover Drake’s “Jungle.” Watch the latter rendition below.
