French Montana Becomes U.S. Citizen

French Montana is ficially a United States citizen. The “Unforgettable” rapper was reportedly sworn in on Wednesday morning (June 13).

According to TMZ, he applied in February 2017 and was required to take the Naturalization Oath Allegiance.

French was born in Rabat, Morocco and immigrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 13. They settled in the South Bronx, where he was first introduced to Hip Hop and started making a name for himself in the battle rap scene as Young French.

Since then, he’s been living the American dream.

The 33-year-old was recently celebrating with producer Mally Mall and Rae Sremmurd after the single “Powerglide” was certified platinum by the RIAA. The track — which French helped produce — is included on the duo’s triple album, SR3MM.

In an Instagram post, French promised there were “more hits on the way.”
