Now that Nicki Minaj‘s Queen album has been delayed by roughly two months, the rap superstar evidently has more time to troll fans on social media.
After she posted a clip herself rapping to her verse on YG’s “Big Bank” track, which has a Slim Shady reference, a fan asked if she was dating Eminem.
After Minaj replied with a simple, “Yes,” Em chimed in with, “@nickiminaj girl you know it’s true,” a possible reference to the 1989 Milli Vanilli single the same name.
Minaj kept the perceived gag going with, “@eminem babe I thought we were gonna keep it on the low til the wedding. Yikes. I’ll talk to you when I get home.”
Fans jumped to the conclusion that the two rap titans were a couple because a line on “Big Bank” that features Minaj rapping, “Told ’em I met Slim Shady/Bagged the Em/Once he go black, he’ll be back again.”
This isn’t the first time she’s played around with her love life. In 2010, Drake said he’d married Minaj and she replied, “Yes, its true. Drake and I tied the knot. > RT @drakkardnoir @nickiminaj Baby I am never scared. PROUD is more the word I would use.”
Minaj and Slim’s friendship goes back to at least 2010 when the two paired up for Black Barbie’s “Roman’s Revenge” single.
The Pinkprint rapper’s forthcoming album Queen is expected to arrive on August 10.
