#DXCLUSIVE: Zamaera Unloads Classical Bars In "Z vs Z" Video

Malaysia-bred rapper Zamaera isn’t with the shits when it comes to dealing with preconceived notions about female MCs (especially ones Asian descent).

Her HipHopDX-premiered latest single, “Z vs Z,” toes the line lyricism and fine instrumentation as she spits fevered bars over a full-scale orchestra.

In regards to why there aren’t more Asian women in rap, Zamaera tells HipHopDX, “Maybe it’s because women are constantly scrutinized by the public, no matter what we do? It’s rather scary and overwhelming to put yourself out in a “male-dominated industry” only to be objectified and not taken seriously.”

Welp, creed, color and class-isms hold no place in Hip Hop music (especially when it’s simply dope) and Zamaera is noticeably ascending her career along. She’s already graced the same Good Vibes Festival stage as SZA, Vince Staples, LORDE and more with more performances on the horizon.
