#DXCLUSIVE: The Black Opera's Jamall Bufford Recruits Hiero's Pep Love For "20 Racks"

HipHopDX Premiere: Ann Arbor-bred MC Jamall Bufford — co-founder The Black Opera — has enlisted Hieroglyphics’ Pep Love and fellow Black Opera member T. Calmese for the new single “20 Racks.”

The track is taken from Bufford’s forthcoming solo album, Time In Between Thoughts, and boasts production from beatsmith 14KT. Throughout the cut, Bufford, Pep Love and T. Calmese swap verses over delicate piano notes.

Bufford, who is also part the Athletic Mic League alongside 14KT, Grand Cee, Mayer Hawthorne, Sonny Star, Vaughan T and Vital, has put out three solo albums beginning with 2007’s Pure.

On Monday (August 12), Bufford celebrated the 10-year anniversary his sophomore solo project, 2008’s There’s Only One, and thanked his fans for the support over the past decade.

Time In Between Thoughts is expected to arrive on August 24.
