Drake Ties Elvis Presley for Billboard Record

Drake takes on Elvis. The Toronto rapper nabbed his 25th Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with “Nice for What,” tying the Memphis crooner for fourth-most among male soloists.

Together, Drizzy and Elvis trail Elton John (27), Stevie Wonder (28), and Michael Jackson (29). They stand right above Paul McCartney (23) and JAY-Z (21) in this category, according to Billboard.

There are some key facts to note. Elvis’ career predated the Hot 100, so some his songs aren’t accounted. Meanwhile, Paul McCartney had even more Hot 100 top 10s as a member The Beatles. The all-time list includes Madonna (38),The Beatles (34), and Rihanna (31). Drake still has the record for most overall Hot 100 entries among solo acts. “Nice for What” simply extends this record to 162.

“Nice for What” dethroned “God’s Plan” for the supreme position on the chart. Both songs will appear on the 6 God’s newly-announced album Scorpion, which is due in June.
