Chance the Rapper Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend Kirsten Corley

Chance the Rapper will soon be Chance the Husband.

The Chicago rapper proposed to his longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley on the Fourth July. Friends and family were on hand as Chance got down on one knee during a backyard party. “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” he asked as loved ones cheered them on.

His brother, Taylor Bennett, posted a photo the newly-engaged couple on social media. “Proposed In The Hunninds! @chancetherapper You A Real One! 7-4-18 #BlockBoys,” wrote Bennett.

The couple shares a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Kensli Bennett, who was born in September 2015. She was also present during the proposal, which Chance confirmed, tweeting, “She said yes.”

The couple began dating in 2013 and separated in May 2016 after Corley filed a petition asking the court to declare the 23-year-old rapper the father Kensli. She also asked to become the “sole caretaker” and requested child support, according to the Chicago Tribune. Corley withdrew her filing in January 2017 after she and Chance reconciled.

Just last month, the Coloring Book rapper gushed about his bride-to-be. “From the beginning beginning to the end end. You are my oldest and best friend,” he wrote while wishing Corley for her birthday. “You are responsible for everyone the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe.”
