Big K.R.I.T. is officially an independent artists, after leaving Def Jam Records.

Def Jam was the place the Mississippi rapper started his professional career, under the tutelage of Sha Money XL. ““And at this moment right now, I want to share with you, that I am no longer with Def Jam,” he tweeted.

Signed in June 4, 2010, K.R.I.T. dropped Live From The Underground and Cadillactica, two heralded albums.
